Why Am I Here
Am no extra-ordinary person, am like you
Like many I have often wondered, why am I here?
To live for few years and die?
To amass as much wealth as I can and enjoy?
I looked for answers from the east to the west
But whatever, each only increased my emptiness
Than at the beginning of my quest
West’s dry philosophies couldn’t nor the east’s lies.
Whatever I tried, there was a hole within
That neither pleasure nor work could fill
A relationship couldn’t too, it increased the void
In atheism, the hole almost swallowed me up!
How foolish and blind...
When things are not working,
It’s sheer folly to keep on.
When you love and are unrequited
Should you continue?
Let go and move on
You may never know but it’s a blessing.
You have loved amiss?
You are not the first one in this.
