Tears from my eyes do spring;
Written words in such emotion:
Eternal print of a heart's devotion

Looking out my attic's window,
On a freezing-cold November day,
Upon the dull-grey London's sky;
A flock of starlings delights my eyes.

Conceived ideas begin to form:
An old mind crushing to dust:
The brave survivor of the storm!

Silence speaks the most to me:
I hear the truth that cannot be told,
The tears in eyes that cannot be seen,
The fading love I could not hold;

I'm only human; in soul, I wonder
About Nature and its display of feast:
Seasons unfolding, mysteries, thunder:
Lovely before my eyes they manifest!

Essential is to humans Love to feel:
Rarity—luxury appears to be;
But in my heart, the weight of its content,
In silent hope awaits itself to share.

I am my Heart, I am my Soul
