I thank you, for all your lovely ways
and for all your love and praise

I thank you, simply for being there

you whisper in my ear, I'm ready, no fear


I'm lost, your eyes, together we lie

Can I have you? ........to hold me tight and never let go.
Can I have you? ....to cheer me up when I’m feeling low.
Can I have you? ....to kiss me softly and hold me close.
Can I have you? ...to be the person that you love the most.

I want to be free with you
I don’t care who knows
It doesn’t matter what others think
It doesn’t matter what others say
...

Here I am once again...
and I must face the fact that I know so little of true love.
I thought it meant respect, tenderness, thoughtfulness
and a balance of taking and giving.
