Biography of Mye Lockette
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And if you like sugar,
It's me who you should meet!
... Yeah, I don't really write like that. At least, I hope I don't...
Welcome to my page. I'm Mye Lockette, your typical college student. Shakespeare, Poe, Keller-what made them wonderful, memorable poets? I believe it was the genuine, fresh expression and feeling in their writing that attracted the attention of men and women world-wide. Each poet is different in their own unique way, and each poem varies in content and language; so what makes a poet, a poet?
That, I believe, is the emotion-completely and utterly unyielded-expressed in choice words.
I am just a college student, and I don't really expect to accomplish anything through my poetry. This is more or less of an expression of the feelings I'd rather not keep bottled inside.
Does that make me a good poet? I doubt it, but who knows.
So sit back, enjoy the ride, and maybe dropp a comment or two by. I don't bite, I promise.

Mye Lockette Poems
She hated rain. All it did was bring her sadness and pain. Millions of drops, a cold breeze to top; Drenched her to the core, soaked her until she thought it would not stop.
To keep you, to hold you, to stay by your side; I promise. To love you, to cherish you, to comfort your sadness; I promise.
She hated rain.
All it did was bring her sadness and pain.
Millions of drops, a cold breeze to top;
Drenched her to the core, soaked her until she thought it would not stop.
He loved the rain.
Without it, he thought he would go insane.
Millions of drops, splattering across the window pane;
It calmed him, soothed him, until he could get up and go again.
