Naga Aparna Komarraju Poems
Your Mother - My Beloved
It is here that I find rest Here...near this grave. Here son, lays your mother... my beloved With whom my life I shared.
Waste not your life in drowsy aimlessness Wane not yourself with frenzy wanderings Life is full of undreamt wonder Waiting to be drunk-
It is in Nature that there is true peace And sweetness that adorns her Cosmic mind Yet another Autumn withers away And with it the hardships which come in my way
Do not dream of asking God To fulfil all your dreams! For not all dreams are sweet; And if the stars were to rule your fate
Never think of today to be like yesterday- calm and quiet, And though every morn be a nameless terror Yet every circumstance is life itself.
Him I love His heart my alcove Him I dote
My Boy, My Joy
My love, my heart My soul, my spirit My being, my feeling My pleasure, my treasure
My Mom's My Pal - My First Bonny Gal
You are my friend My only friend Him I told You are my gold.
Never think of today to be like yesterday-
calm and quiet,
And though every morn be a nameless terror
Yet every circumstance is life itself.
And the experience we gain out of failures
Says, 'Life is not completely dark-ruled'.
So open wide your eyes to the life to come
You'll be left with guiltful repentance.
