Biography of Nelson Torres
Well hi there! My name is Nelson Torres and I'm 16 years old, I started writing when I was in 8th grade I believe, I am now in 11th and still interested in becoming a writer. I just wanted to get my poems out and see what people think of them, so don't mind criticizing, I can take the heat and I want it so I can improve. I know I'm not that great but I'm still on my way to learning, I hope you enjoy the poems I have shared with you guys and always remember to comment and tell me what you think :) .
Nelson Torres Poems
Hopelessly hoping that hope will come along. How about you close your eyes an realize it's not all out to get you, Because what you believe, what you think, is the most real to you. It doesn't matter if you're dead or alive,
When She Says She's Done..
When she says she's done. I swear there's nothing but pain that runs. Cause once in a while we all get sad, But she stays stuck wondering whether she can.
Your unrecognized power I documented as truth, But how much longer will it stay till you realize it was part of your booth. When will you doubt, we have all the proof, All they needed was for you to loose.
Turn Your Cheek
Shame, came, popping pain pills, For some reason forgetting seems to bring thrills. And even though we're killing our own brain cells; "it's better to be locked than alive and well".
We all watch as her body's getting stripped Pulled her from her roots and saw her ivory get ripped. Such beauty was made, looked upon the eyes of destruction Stolen from her temple for our silly mass production.
The heat felt like fire that went along my skin, I couldn't help but watch while your makeup stretched down your chin. After a while the tears became amusing, Cause if you look deep enough you'll see your problems were defusing.
I learned to tie you down, but only in my head It was all fun and games until I laid down plastic cross my bed. See everything has potential, we always end up dead But when it comes to mind obsessions then I'd rather play pretend.
Why do you believe it's only for specific people, I know how to walk on water without making a ripple. Haven't you ever felt the feeling of being left out? Because, just to let you know, I'm about to drown from the drought,
Let me tell you about this guy that I know; He wants freedom and his head's on the roll. That's cool with me. We all want to be free.
I think he loved you cause you were too precious from the start, You pulled out every word straight from your heart. But it's difficult to be free when fame's got your identity; Nothing's easy when you're in the apple of an eye.
It was I who put the cherry on the icing. But it is not I who should be pronounced king, It is us, for we saw eye for eye And built on history's endless tries.
All In Vain
It's amazing how much power can be held in your voice. Do what you want with it, it's only your choice. But after a while the slowmo won't work, the fire in your eyes will no longer burn.
You better look extra cute for your execution cause they won't think twice to put you in an instituion. They'll lock you up with all your pride, They'll tear you apart from the insides.
Born To Live
You were about this small when you were born, Your eyes as big as the world. Beatings and batters made you worn But your parents must've cried when they met you girl.
Eye Of A Storm
Kissing you is like kissing the eye of a storm;
Sure I'd be protected but the rage around us would transform.
It wouldn't be pretty
And I wouldn't pitty the needy,
It wasn't my duty to stand by and let this happen
But like always, shit happens.
Cause kissing you is like kissing the eye of a storm;
Sure she was protected but if you stop at one place for too long people begin to honk their horns.
And no accident happens by accident,
