Playing Along

Winter in the days before,
Fallen white, each flake galore,
Sledding by, 'do come! ' they cheered,
But I did not, I watched and sneered,

The snow, a dome of frosty doom,
I was trapped, within my murky room.
The kids, they asked, 'come out, to play? '
'Must you be a bore today? '
