There seems to be a seperate little part of my brain
That works in it's own little ways
In there every memory of you remain
On and on it sends images of your face

Just as roses fade and die
Just as leaves fall off their tree
Just as water stops running
So will we

I'll give you the material stuff
The presents you can keep
I'll let you crawl under my skin
Go through my eyes deep

The sun starts fading
another day has passed by
She looks up at the blue sky
and thinks of the sunlight that can tell no lie

If I am only a temperary substitute
in the darkest shadows of your desire
Then why does your every touch
Place me so much higher

I had a poet's mind
From early childhood time
My brain was of the kind
that could make anything rhyme

It's time we share something
that isn't
HIV or nuclear bombs.

If I ever sat still
to watch the World
I would probably see
all the beauty
