Something bizarre happened this sunny autumn morning.
an angel appeared before me without any warning.
His strange aura and appearance made him look out of place,
but he spoke as a human, as we looked face to face.

eating cheese toasties and drinking black coffee.
At a nearby table, two lovers are kissing and making up,
but stopped to take a sip from their cooling coffee cup.

You know you led me on.
If you hadn't started the way you did
I wouldn't have that far gone.

Today I'm saying to the girl I'm marrying ‘I do',
but you know that I'd rather be saying it to you.
I've known and loved you practically all of my life,
but now I'm making someone else my wife.

Usually, I dream in three-dimensions and colour,
but last night they were in black and white.
There were no shades or hints of grey anywhere,
but then suddenly white disappeared from sight.

"Hello carrot, my word you do look tasty."
"Oh, hello knife, you also look exceedingly sharp,
but let's not get carried away and be too hasty."

When I close my eyes all I see is you
throughout the day and night time too.
My memory and mind will not move on,
despite me accepting that you have gone.

A glowing angel from out of nowhere
asked me to help my fellow man.
I asked how could I possibly help them
and he said, "By doing all that you can".

Once again in the early hours,
I saw the tall church spires.
And walked the gravestones,
above the resting bones.

A Japanese gentleman in Tokyo
kept koi carp in an outdoor pond.
They all had beautiful colourings,
and they grew to be incredibly long.
