4 O'Clock - Poem by Brandon Griffee

The lion roared,
at four in the morning,
Just inches
from my face.
My ears must,
have been about to burst.
As I opened my eyes,
the blackness pierced my head.
Heart pounding
I flipped the light.
The cat meowed,
at four in the morning,
Just inches
from my face.
