i think i 'sent' another piece of comment, but i don't know if you'll get it. it's been a bit of a pain in my to continue sending LONG comments [ now that PH limits size of comments ].

    bri :)

p.s. have you found lately that PH does not supply a Send Message to click on in order to type a private message (not poem comment or reply to an Inbox message) ? ?

the price of caviar? well, don't complain; someone has to catch the fish, squeeze its eggs out, and can them, ship them, etc. etc. i'll take TWO cans. and hold the lox (also a fish product) but i'll take a toasted bagel and cream cheese. make that one for me and one for Lawrence.

    to MyPoemList...i guess. : ( or :) ?

i've the feeling this poem has more to offer than i've gotten out of it. i think it is good, but barrel or gallon makes a difference in my outlook.

a gallon of gas for our car costs now about $4.20. a barrel of crude oil, from which 'gas' is derived is now about:
Brent crude oil spiked higher on Friday to trade above $60 a barrel for the first time in more than two years.

    AND:

On average a barrel of WTI crude oil produces approximately 20 gallons of gas.

BUT, don't ask me what brent means or WTI means! ! !

made n the shade.... with a lemonade? [i did not make that up, but heard it years ago, as, i assume, L.S.P. did also.]

i'm undecided. is Barrel meaning this:

barrel (bbl) 1. Unit of volume for crude oil and petroleum products. One barrel equals 42 US gallons or 35 UK (imperial) gallons...? ? ?
or do you mean gallon? ? it makes a huge difference in the poem's meaning, which i'm definitely not sure of (now) .

The price of oil is larger than our pocket books or wallets.
Maybe horse and buggy will return soon, Inspiring Lawrence.

A poetic concern on the rising price of the fossil fuel that squeezes the existence of the common man. Geat poen on contemporary issue.
