A Dawn Of.... Uncertainty? - Poem by Tara McH

I am not sure, at dawn cannot be sure;
perhaps my newly-recovered soul leads to egocentricity,
but it feels the birds, chitter-chattering in grandeur

    It is best to write the pain away, it is right to look forward to the dawn with great expectancy..... for the good things that are ahead. From your heart this one Tara, yes you must keep trying. Bobx (Report) Reply

    that I will rise, far away from the ghosts of times since past,
    that the inward-shining sun will battle with the outside rain...

    In this part of world we say Insha Allah[if God willing] and I'm sure for this bursting, bubbling hope God sure is willing...

    To acknowledge is not necessarily to flatter - though to some it might appear so. Therefore, with great respect to Michael Shepherd (and his brilliant and lovingly understated comment on this) I would like to tell you that I believe you are an exceptional poet who uses the highs and lows of your life to touch the soul of those who read your work - always accessible, always articulate, always original and honest to the core. Like J S Bach, your creations satisfy right down to the last note. Bless you. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (Report) Reply

    The rise...the encircling crow upon your window aisles...how brightly you bring out the 'dark' thoughts in your mind, Tara! ...you will rise...not in your writes alone...thanks for the honesty and sincerity and frankness in your poem, as always...a poem beautiful with deep poignant words...10 (Report) Reply

    Now that is the kind of Tara spirit, I want to hear rise in your poetry. A real pleasure to read...those darn crows can go nest somewhere else. They are a protected species, or I would offer you my gun! lol

    Smiling at you

    Make sure you come down to earth once in a while and sing your song into the sleeping ears of others... Ahh... it seems that you are! -chuck (Report) Reply

    I can see a wise selection of words for creating metaphors and epithets, by poetically setting....There is an interesting musing in these selected words and the poem is nicely expressed..10++ (Report) Reply

    I love the truth in your poetry, Tara, so of course love you...and only a boring critic would seek to flatter you by saying, I hear Hardy, Eliot and Hughes murmuring approval over your shoulder...xxx Michael (Report) Reply
