A Feeling For Snow - Poem by Adryan Barnathan

seemingly dancing
on blank snow,
flecks illuminate light
generating warmth
in the hearth
of one's life stone
where fiery coal burns
internally
mined by a harbinger
holding the breath
of one's own body and soul-
riding on currents of
rebirth, in winter

This is the first of your work I've read, Adrienne, and so now I want to read it all, slowly, savoring each word. Thanks.

I like the sound of the poem, the short lines, and it is different to think of rebirth in winter. (Report)Reply
