A Few Simple Needs My Dear One - Poem by Michael P. McParland
As I sit here sweet one I am thinking
of you and sending sweet kisses
and huge hugs with all of my loving warmth.
I am missing you so very bad
and right now outside of you I'm very much feeling
very alone with no one that's
a truly solid friend or confidant
anywhere else that I go or talk to at all.
And I just ask for a few simple needs
on this night my dear one to help
me feel your love ever so strong
and know that things are okay.
A few simple needs my sweet dear
like please just help me to feel
your acceptance and now it
as the feeling runs through me.
Help me to feel your care
which I know is there but
I just need reassurance on this night.
Please don't be angry at me.
Just the simple reassurance to know
that you like me as well as love me too.
Help me just to know so very strong you are there
and holding me near.
Just these few needs my sweet dear
would mean everything to me.
Coming from the woman and Angel I love
it means more than it possibly could
from any other source that there is.
Essentially I am just in need of
extra loving reassurance
from my precious lady,
the one whom has the greatest and most
wonderful love within her
and I know will always be there.
I love you my sweet one
and just want to be in your arms
while I hold you too.
You are the amazing woman I love
and I will stand by you for all time.
I adore you my dear
and treasure you my Queen
and I know that you love me as well
because I can feel it my dear.
It's just a night of needed extra comfort
and I truly thank you for everything.
I love you so very much and will
forever give you every last bit of myself
as I strive to always make my Queen happy and proud.
Thank you again my sweet Angel dove
and feel all of these kisses I'm sending
in true loving gratefulness.
