A Hard Lonely Time - Poem by Michael P. McParland
A hard lonely night spent all alone,
about to start crying because I am missing
my special best friend who is mad at me now.
I try so very hard to make my Angel smile,
and to let her know that she is the greatest ever.
It's a hard lonely night surrounded in silence,
and knowing I'm all alone.
I would give my whole life for just a few hours,
to help her realize that she is so special
and to just take her within my arms to lovingly snuggle.
She truly is all I have ever wanted.
It's a hard lonely night in which tears will appear,
my dreams will be of finally getting it right for her.
God bless you my best friend and lady,
you are so very very beautiful and you make my heart sing.
You truly are my only one and everything.
