A Hermit No More Poem by james watkin

A Hermit No More

Lover defend me, pleading
Life's desirableness.
Unpardonable I know
Attributing it to woe;
But so too, loneliness!

With good arguments soften
charges brought against it
By myself. Reduce what years
So harshly condemned with tears
By freeing the hermit.
