A Love That Surpasses All Understanding - Poem by Manny Negron

If only they knew…
Would they walk in the unknown?
Mistaken irrelevancy replaces revelation
Self-destruction in the midst of ignorance and confusion
They work in collaboration to destroy hearts

A heart never regains its original shape
Mistreated by malfunctions,
It is left with remnants of shattered emotions

If only they knew…
Would emotion remain?
Attention focused on the art of a straight line
Loving obedience in the midst of trust and understanding,
Working in collaboration to reshape hearts

Tears would be swallowed,
Eyes would be cleared
Their unhindered vision would lead to joy in His presence…

…If only they knew
