A New Place - Poem by Ranock Saing

it's hard to adjust to a new place
you wonder all difficult tasks you must face
the worst part is having new friends
inside your heart, you feel like no one comprehends
at night, your eyes full of tears
day time, your fears are no where near
silent movies play in your head of the moments you shared together
there's nothing you can do because you know that they will last forever
never will I forget the smiles that brought me joy
or the laughters or jokes full of noise
remember the teacher always picked on me
and how you would always mock me because I can't see
I remember I used to sing and dance
oh, joyful a true romance
but now it's just depression
my life, everything gone, never mentioned
I am alone, but no one knows
waiting everyday for the sky to turn dark, then u can see the star glows
as the days go by, i wish to go back to a younger age
where I didn't witness such rage
show me once, just one sign
so i can walk into the light and leave everything behind
the pain tickle my heart, body and soul
I've never been to a place such cold
it's easy to say just move on with the past
in reality, it's hard because you know they will always last
to loose something, not having it back can't bear nor cope
day after day, you rely on hope
