A Night Of Great Aching - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I am aching so very badly my dear,
I feel so very lonely without you
and though I do feel your warmth and your sweet spirit
I am lonely to finally see you in person
hearing your voice and feeling your touch
as we kiss and hold hands.
The weight in the press of your body against mine
as we just hold each other gazing and getting lost
in each others eyes feeling joy and excitement
that finally it has all happened.
I am sitting here trying so hard to read but cannot
because my heart is aching so very bad just for you.
It pulls all my thoughts in my need for you,
to be spending time with my sweet Angel dove.
I sit and wonder just how you are.
I wonder if you are okay and if everything is alright,
I ache because I don't know and worry.
I ache because I'm not right there to hold you
and give direct comfort when I know you've been crying.
I am aching so bad because it is true hell
being so far away from my Angel so good
and the woman I love more than anything anywhere.
It is a night of great aching for my one
and I would give anything to be in each others arms
feeling content and peaceful in each others loving warmth.
I would give anything to be spending time
with each other and enjoying each others company.
Kira I miss you and my heart that overflows
with true love for you is in pain,
it is calling out just to tell you you're loved,
wanted, and needed by your man.
I am aching tonight for my sweet Angel
I long to hold and open my entire heart.
I am aching and longing because you are a jewel
and I treasure you so much I just want to be with you
knowing your happy and alright and that both
of our hearts are in peace as we wrap up so tight.
Kira I love you and am aching for you
just as I know you ache so badly too,
I want us both to have this dream and happiness we so want,
I want to be holding you and letting you know
that everything is alright and will be for good.
Feel my sweet kisses and my arms wrapped around you
so tightly to let you know I love you and am with you.
So as I continue to sit here trying to be busy
feel my warmth and love because I'm sending it
all to you and I will be thinking and longing to
have my sweet Queen right here with me.
