A Perfect Weekend Evening Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

A Perfect Weekend Evening

Rating: 4.8

A mesmerizing twilight, an unflustered heart
A cool breeze, a serene patio
A melodious song, playing in my ear phone
With the nature dancing to my tune
The vivid sun ready to retire
Slowly it sinks and disappears somewhere
A group of birds on a return flight
After the days work, they return to their abode
Slowly a layer of gloom starts to set
But the pretty moon comes to the rescue
Spreading a milky ray on the murky sky
The music plays on revitalizing me
I keep strolling capturing the image
It is a soothing experience that I enjoy
This is how I like to spend a perfect weekend evening
