A Person Who Could Not Learn As And When He Is Young! - Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

There is no one who has collected toll charges
…after allowing somebody to trespass the pathway;

Likewise, no one could collect the charges for the
...travel in a boat after it reaches the destination!

Similarly, a person who could not learn
…as and when he is young and youthful,

Can you say he can learn during old age
…and become knowledgeable and efficient?

    this is against the concept of schools for the old age people. Is it valued the same way even today? (Report)Reply

    What you said is true, but how far the adult education was fruitful?

    When I went recently for enrolling for Adhar card with arranged campaign, the person in charge of preliminary filling our forms said, one elderly illiterate person came a few hours ago and cried he had not learned while he was young.

    There is a proverb: the thing you didn't do in 5 years can't be done in 50 years.
