A Personnel Manager Poem by Marlene Thaddeus

A Personnel Manager

You know your superiors have the fullest
Confidence in you
So you get others dancing to your tune
You judge people not by their work
But the way you feel they are worth
Your nicest with the ones who scratch
Your back
And God help those who will not
On training and courses are sent
Your chosen few
And your victims you consider sheer nincompoops
When appraisals are due you're in
Highest spirits
Belittling your victims in front
Of their bosses
Boosting your favourites making
Sure than gain no losses.
