A Poetic Composition - Poem by Cody Hollick
Shaken, a term to describe unease.
Misunderstood, happens to the best of us.
Holding, tightly to what's left of trust.
Demanding, privledges as rights.
What's the score, exactly?
World to me...
It seems so unbalanced, yet I wade through the thick waters.
Thick with the status quo that society has burdened us with.
Who's to say which way gets me where I'm going?
Right or left.. Up down.
No set direction, just a feeling.
Falling slowly to what I thought was open arms.
Only to be caught by the receding swells of an unnamed ocean.
Not even on earth, so it seems.
Lost in a mysterious labyrinth of closed doors, and broken glass.
Shaded with flowers that die before they bloom.
What's left to lose, but sanity?
So go insane.
