A Policeman

Rating: 4.5

He is black.
a simple winter evening
out on the streets.
He is cloudy;
a stiff, stern uniform
behind a messy desk.
He is law and order,
a small bunch of inedible sour grapes...

Mina ngithanda umugqa wokuqala, nalowo wokugcina, cha ntokazi, uyayithinta inkondlo, namanje angikholwa ukuthi lamazwi angaphuma kumuntu osemusha njengawe...lezi izinkomba zokuthi ungumuntu okhaliphile implela. love this one.10+++ regards, Sicelo.

Nice description even though I'm figuring this one if its specific or generic. Doesn't matter though. For a going-to-be nineteen year old, you're doing just great. Cheers. Subroto

Interesting portrayal of a police officer. I note that you refer to 'he' and I wonder if this is a person you know rather than a generic description. Many police officers that I know in Canada, are actually fun loving people who have a concern for people and just want a normal family life...the same as the rest of us. Interesting poem. Hugs, Dee

Simply impressive, the poet has more than is yet seen or read.
