A Reason Not To Sleep - Poem by debbie juanir

I'm jumping off our bed
While you're tied to my pillow
I'm putting on a fresh shirt
While you take your time in the bathroom

It's the dawn of a new day
In this room, in our bed
You and me- we will begin
I sit by your side- but then it rains

I would have danced with you
But you didn't let me
You wanted to get soaked alone you said
You got soaked - yes

But it's me who's high with fever

This is excellent, and it's very evocative. (Report)Reply
