A Sad Night - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Waking up but half an hour past
and all the stresses and sadness of yesterday hit.
Woken up at seven at night by
something that I believed to be taken care of
but doctors tend to be incompetent and on them you can't count
so the worries and the stresses of doing it
all over again on me so heavily sit.
I'm sick of all this junk and worst of all
I don't have you here to just hold, talk, and kiss.
I just want to cry in this overwhelmingness.
I miss you sweet lady and you always helped
talk me through it all.
It's a sad night from all of it and I just want
you here to talk and hold.
You are the Angel I adore and I need your strength right now.
It's a very sad night my dear and I am stressed in full,
I just wish I could talk to you to gain my nerves
and straighten out my thoughts and mood,
then we would just talk about everything and forget the world.
You are the medicine that brings beauty to this world,
you are the Queen that keeps me going on.
If it weren't for all the love we share I would give up
and finally leave it all,
but you and your sweet soul I can't leave behind.
I want to be by you hand in hand always helping
each other right along here on earth and through eternal time.
It's a sad and stressful night within my mind and heart
and you're all I need and want within my loving arms.
At times like this you are the only beauty
in this cold and ugly world.
I just want to look you in the eyes and thank you deeply
for all you do and say I love you dear,
you are so wonderful and truly special and everything to me.
I love you Kira and you're all I need
and I want to give you all the things so good and bright
within this universe that you so deserve.
I love you Kira my sweet Queen and I just want
to hold you close and have us both be filled with peace.
