A Saying That Has Fact Poem by Francis Duggan

A Saying That Has Fact

A saying that has fact and fact never lie
Those who live by the gun by the gun often die
Few violent criminals of old age breathe their last
Death comes to them young painful, violent and fast
Those who deal in violence and take life as cheap
Can only expect what they have sown for to reap
By their taking of life they do not make a friend
Most of those who live by violence have a violent end
For murder people spend years of prison time
There is always some price for to pay for those who commit serious crime
You cannot expect to go unpunished if to others you do ill
If the law does not catch up with you karma surely will
In life we reap what we sow as a truism remain
This is something that one should not need to explain.
