A Sentence Remitted

Rating: 5.0
The past masks a hurt so strong
From whence it came is bold, and present
Your visage appears like a beautiful bird in song
No dust storm could cover your presence
No rain would last so long
Hope springs eternal, and florescent
That thought is so fleeting, an era gone
A hurt sits inside, a burning coal, my sentence
Torment lasts like a winter of darkness
A bright light appears to this wretched soul
Fight, rise to the the stars, be strong
Stoic resistance lends a hand, if permitted
Reason prevails, all is forgiven, a sentence remitted.

Yes your words are so very true. For years we preserve this burning coal inside kill myself within. Indeed only forgiveness can cool down. Good poem sir.
