A Short Poets Tale - Poem by J R Reynolds
I've been called weak
I've been called a freak
But say that to my face
When you pass me in the street.
I'm a big ass dude
With a bad attitude
According to my police report
My actions are normally lewd.
My patience is thin
So let the fight begin
Better hand someone your cell phone
To contact your next of kin.
All the rage inside
Is about to be applied
Directly to the side of your head
As your face and my fist collide.
As blood starts squirting
My rage starts exerting
Before the fight is over
My fists both start hurting.
Having thrown my hardest pitches
Leaving you needing stitches
Just because we are poets
Doesn't mean we that we're b i t c h e s.
You need to watch what you say
Moving forward from this day
Make fun of my friends again
I'll continue to make you pay.
So what if our group is odd
Stop acting like you're a god
You're no better than us
And your holy attitude is a poor facade.
So pick up your dignity and pride
And stop trying to hide
You need to go to the ER
Grab your teeth and I'll give you a ride.
