A Small Rest, Aching And Exhausted - Poem by Michael P. McParland
A small rest my dear to
help escape the pain for a few
and hopefully clear up
my somewhat foggy head.
A small rest to recharge a bit
and hopefully feel refreshed.
I need a small rest my sweet lady
and promise I'll soon be back up.
As I close my eyes I send you
a great big hug and kiss.
I love you Kira and I always will.
A small rest now for this exhausted aching man.
I'll be dreaming of good times with you.
