A hearty laughter followed my
So called frozen heart.
A response. A threat. Or maybe beg.
It engulfed my soul in cocoon-like cage.
As it tried to imprison my bits of sanity that remained.
So walked my broken body faster than before.
I would never let shadow swallow me whole.
A wishful thinking it was or not I am unsure.
Yet it was repeated thousands of times
Like hymn brought forth.
My body was twisted and so was my soul as it was castigated by what we call norm
Lo! I stopped to listen. Lo! I'm no more.
Know I'm being forgotten. Yet now I laugh more
Not bad for a first attempt at poetry. Might I suggest that you write about something you own and love, or something you like. Writing about live snd self are the hardest poems to write.
I'll be sure to give it a try. Tnx for ur positive comment it meant a lot to me. Actually writing poems in English is a hobby of mine that I cherish alot but as anon-native I have many short comings

2. You can write a nature poem about trees, flowers or the moon glistening off the ocean at night and the stars. They are good topics to begin with.
