A Somber Sunday Poem by M McParland

A Somber Sunday

What a somber and anxious Sunday
spent without my one and true angel.
Wondering if you are okay
and wondering what you are up to.

Did you go to church on this Sunday,
or did you do lots of chores
to keep busy and fill up the day?
Did you visit with friends and family?
Did you have a nice Sunday meal
that filled and pleased your tummy?
Did you watch some wonderful shows
that made you think and laugh my sweet dear?
I hope that your day was filled with love and joy
my precious queen.

It's been a somber and anxious Sunday here my sweet dear,
as you know how my mind works in overdrive
and how I worry so much but all that I love.
So I just wanted to check in and say
I love you babe more than anything.
I hope your Sunday was not somber
and that we will talk soon my sweet precious diamond.
