A Song For Nora Poem by David Normand

A Song For Nora

In the sweetness of the evening sun
When the moon begins to shine,
When your love begins to glow
And becomes one with mine,
In these hours before the dawn
I am mellowed with your wine.

In the morning when the day begins to grow
And you wake to rise beside me
When your charm and aspect reigns
And your honesty derides me
When the day before us looms
I know you are there to guide me.

In the moments when our love child cries
And our pain makes us one,
In the moments when our duty beckons
Us to deeds that must be done,
We are here together in our love and life
And it's these gifts that make us one.
