Never liked the superhero stories
For them to emerge, tragedy needs to happen too
A boring, simple life is better, than one involving
Gore, violence, heartbreak, lots of crimson hues

The superheroes in real life are far and few
Not looking yet I found one, don't know how
Always there but never acknowledged
Yes, my better half, truly that's you

Pulling me up from failures to start anew
Whatever life dealt, you always got us through
Always make me smile when feeling blue
Everyday with you is worth looking forward to

You made me love the stories of superheroes
The feats they achieve, the miracles they do
With you, every day is a wonder, every moment a bliss
I am even hoping of being one whom everyone look up to
