Overcast but warm,
The day dry, unusually.
Walking the woods with the dogs
As many times before.

You can tell that you're a poet. It's good to see a decent poem among loads of highly rated, but artless, attempts.

Hi Martin, Really like this - favourite poem learnt by heart in school - long ago. Still remember all the words though! ! Absolutely lovely take on it and something that wouldn't have occurred to me, Best wishes

My friend.....in the company of Robert Frost...it's more of a journey....than a walk! Excellent composition>

I try to be honest in my comments and helpful as well. I started reading your poems because of a post to the forum you made. Im glad I did. I think this is one of your better peoms. I find the first paragraph better than the second. Brave to partner up with one of the greatest poems ever written.

Very well done. I am presently reading a book of Robert Frost's Poems, especially selected by him for publication. You have successfully captured more than just the title of his famous poem. I can see resemblances in a lot of things that you chose to say.
