A War To Fight Poem by joshua treece

A War To Fight

Rating: 2.9

I get up this morning, looking out the window
There I see the rain, it is coming down harder and faster
Like flaming arrows and balls of fire knowing
I have to go out there and try to win the battle for the day
I get my weapons in hand for my the contention
To win the contest I have to fight hard for the day
I will go in with my hardware held high and ready
I quickly moving around and throw things
Heading right to my automobile to move on ward
Get to the battle grounds and no one shown there faces yet
I started getting ready going over things faster and quicker
I walk around the field looking at what it looks now
And what it will look when everyone is done
The first team shows there faces and with there weapons in hand
I walk to my fighting grounds with my weapons
my shoes and shot putt in hand they are my weapons for battle
Then we start with the contest things get rough and harder
Looking as my team comes out on top after the war
The next thing you hear is “we won, We won”
Then I look and they come to me and say one last time
“we won, we won, we win the track meet! ”
There is a glories victory for our team.
