A Warriors Tale - Poem by Amanda harding

A lifetime of pain
A lifetime of death
Each scar is unique
Mental and physical
An angel with broken wings
So pure and true
An untamed lion within
Surfacing slowly
With each lashing of pain
Eyes so wild
Yet so loving
Slowly fading to darkness
How could anyone ever
Understand his torment
This warrior’s life
So full of hate
So full of darkness
A spirit so great
Slowly being ripped apart.
