A Wintry Dream Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Wintry Dream

Rating: 5.0

It was fluffy like cotton candy
As lovely as anything I'd seen
A snow-scape when I awoke
Was exactly like a wintry dream

It clung to everything that was
Sparkly like diamonds and crystal
How could it happen so quickly?
It sorta seems a little mystical

Nature always surprises us
As each new season appears
The lakes amidst the whiteness
Are a lot like looking at a mirror

And did you ever notice
The ugliest branches there are
Suddenly are lacy and beautiful
Especially that you see from afar

But it only happens once a year
This dreamy wintry landscape
Enjoy it while you can folks,
The best that nature can create!
