you had me 'worried' at the end of the second line; i'm glad i read onward!

but i think there are plenty of homes where the father is a better parent than the mother and other families where both parents are about equally responsible for good results in raising children etc.

    nice little poem.

    bri :)

my mom was certainly more noticeable to me when i was a kid. my dad worked so much to support us.

My own grandfather gave me that same advice. To be cautious about
a woman's advice. Treat some men's advice prudently also-they can
lead you to disaster. Be your own best adviser.

Yes, traditional religious based thinking has gradually ceased down. She cares her child because she loves him/her. It dosen't matter the gender. Whoever loves the world cares it as well. Thank you my friend for your wonderful poem. (Report) Reply

this is true yet false too i think it depends on the advise we seek for

    A woman's advice
    leads to unhappy result
    Old conservative saying goes.
    A woman is a mother
    And a mother knows better
    The welfare of her child
An eternal and evergreen saying goes.

Mother gave birth to prophets and sages. You have discarded an old saying based on ignorance through your verse. (Report) Reply

    She has proved her worth
And we realize it upon her death
Or when we cease to exist
She serves family at the best
