A Worm Says Poem by Yonah Jeong

A Worm Says

to avoid
overlapping summer heat
into the mosquito net
gathered together
as soon as sit down
pieces of peach
comes in
with a white plate

each other
put in the mouth
talk
what happened today

suddenly daughter Nara
'No?
is a bug'.
son Justine chimes in
'hey!
peach eaten by the worm
more delicious
is good
there is a little pesticides'.

when the surroundings calmed down

as if it were audible
WRIGGLE.......WRIGGLE

'the same for the people'.
