Abandoned Poem by brittney crozier

Abandoned

Rating: 3.0

love has no intrest in me anymore
abandoned me when i was a baby
left me out in the cold
never took care of me
didn't feed me when i was hungry
wouldn't let me have anything to drink
left me to defend myself
never taught me how to hide from predators
didn't shelter me from teh rain
never taught be not to be afraid of storms
wouldn't teach me how to walk or talk
didn't treat me like i was family
never taught me how to hunt for food
wish it would've taken care of me
then i wouldn't have to go through all this
i'm still hungry and thirsty
barely surviving

pretty melancholic. The longing is palpable. Love does not abandon us, we abandon it. Of course my personal view. good poem.
