About A Boy (Unfinished) Poem by Rob Penn

once upon a time there lived a boy.
he was so very strong at heart
nothing could he could not destroy.
(that is overcome with smarts!)

he lived in a magical land,
full of ocean and sand.
i've heard them called islands
before, but what do i know of land?

on his rock he sat every day,
talking to the fishes in the water.
they never seem to be interested,
but he didn't mind at all, they were just fish.

however, his favorite thing to do
was swing from tree to tree,
and find his way to a place to be free.
a little cove tucked away no one knew.

here he swam about,
not sure of the fount
of rainbow water springing forth,
from the middle of the earth.
