Acid Usually Hurts - Poem by Jacquelynn Bobbs

Strive to perfection
What we all seek
Its simple
Or what I've been told at least
Just throw out your humanity
Your name and your friends
But it seems so funny
How they hurt themselves to fit in
Though it's hard to laugh
When your an outcast hurting within
But even now they'll let me in
Through acid rain and sugar coated lies
I think I'll pass
Just this once
Cause it's not worth knowing you
Whether your right or wrong
Of your just gonna hurt me by ' helping me out '
