Advice - Poem by Gordon Jerome

I shall die all alone
This I have always known
I have no choice in the matter it seems
For as I try all I might
To break my lonely life’s blight
In the end reality breaks down all my dreams
I have known love thru my years
But they all left me in tears
Each one scarred deep this lonely mans heart
And still I loved everyone
No matter what had been done
When it came time for us to eventually part
And so I say this to you
No matter what your going thru
Remember the happy times that you share
For as you fight back the tears
That seem to come thru the years
Know in your heart that for you they still care.
“closing thought”
Though life has its ways of breaking you down
Never surrender your smile to a perpetual frown
