Ages Poem by Sheila Knowles

Ages

Rating: 4.8

If I could relocate
the imagination of my childhood,
lay it next to
the experimentation of my teens,
infuse it with
the debauchery of my twenties,
wrap it up in
the frustration of my thirties
season it with
the serenity
I've yet to achieve in my forties
and the wisdom
that's sure to come with my fifties,

I've a good chance of becoming a poet
before I collapse into my sixties.

Sheila, You have to be an optimist, what makes you think that you will see things clearer, than the past has ever shown you? B.V.A.
