All In Vain - Poem by Nelson Torres
It's amazing how much power can be held in your voice.
Do what you want with it, it's only your choice.
But after a while the slowmo won't work,
the fire in your eyes will no longer burn.
After a while you will learn to learn;
destruction was only made for creational use,
Not for your childish play, we won't care if you're amused.
Cause life after life, heart after mind
We can only take so long of your crappy ass time.
And time after time we try and tell you the answer
But you deny it with your life, your lies spread like cancer;
It's only killing you slowly without the chemo,
And soon enough you'll learn not to dream kid.
Because while your veins are being filled
Your brain is getting killed;
Constantly crowded with meaningless emotion.
We look at your devotion,
"You're the perfect potion for the rest of me"
We just need to find out the recipe
Sweetheart, you're not the only key, don't gas yourself up.
Anyone will do anything for some money and some fame
how much longer will it take for you to realize this is no game?
