Alone No More - Poem by Cheza Johnson

All through my life,
I sit alone.
Whenever I need a friend,
No One is ever there…
Is there anyone who knows the pain
Of the emotion I have known as shyness?
Am I not alone
In this cruel world
They call Earth?
Can anyone hear me speak?
Wait, there is a noise
Someone is calling out to me!

Finally, a place I can finally belong!
Is this true
Or is this a trick?
Are we really laughing?
Are we really here
On this planet called Earth
I am finally happy
But what time is it?
It is gradution time
Now I shall go back to my “real” friends
The ones inside my head
I need a friend

Now I move on
To the place they call Inman
Bigger is what they tell me
More people says the rumors
Can all of this really be true?
Then someone says hi
Too weak and fragile I reply
It turns out they are a friend
They’ve been there so far
And they’ve led to me they’re group
It is really nice on this place called Earth
Who knew?
