Along We Ride - Poem by Philson Truong

Along did we ride, through the lows and the highs
Sped through the days and on into the nights
Onto adventure, to love and its likes
Stopping for nothing, not wonders nor sights
But there did we find a split in the road
Where lovers turn friends and one path turns two
You said it was inevitable, for our adventure to end
Yet I like to hope that one day our love might transcend
There will I wait, if the fates care to be kind
Where our paths again meet, when again you'd be mine.
