Always Me - Poem by Katherine Clark
Life is an endless battle.
The constant fighting with what’s right and what’s wrong.
How must you act to fit in with the cliques.
Thinking you are a group of individuals, but you are all the same.
Always striving to find just what makes you fit with your clique, but saying your searching for you individuality.
I’m tired of trying to fit the molds and making myself something that I’m not. I’m not like the groups and I no longer care what others think of me or the way I act.
I am a true individual and I’m not going to change myself anymore.
Like me as I am or deal with it.
I refuse to give in to what the rest of the world sees me as.
I’m imperfect and I love it.
So I will remain me while the rest all change to fit the needs and wishes of others.
For i am always me.
