Am I Good Enough? Poem by M McParland

I look at myself and I ask,
am I good enough for the one that I love?
She is so amazing and beautiful beyond all words,
she fills me with endless light and joy.

Do I do good enough by her?
Can I work on beating all of my demons
so I can be perfect for her.
I long to give her the universe
and show her just how magical that she is.
Am I good enough and can I do good enough
to give her the life of which she so deserves?
I will work hard for her in life
and in spiritual matters so she sees
the best that I can give her.

Am I good enough for such a perfect woman?
One that has stuck by a man
through his trials of soul and mind.
I love her more than anything
and I will give her my true loving everything.
Am I good enough though for a treasure so pure?
